We're excited to launch the super useful Solar World Time mobile app for both Android and iOS! These homescreen and notification bar widgets put a world daytime/nigttime map plus world cities' times at your fingertips.

If you aren't used to adding a widget to your Notifications Bar in iOS, can follow Apple's instructions here, but basically:
- Swipe right over the Home screen or Lock screen.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit.
- To add a widget, tap
. To remove a widget, tap 
. To reorder your widgets, touch and hold 
next to the apps and drag them in the order that you want. - To finish, tap Done.
Rock Solid Code
The app is built with native code to be rock solid, with the solar terminator world map updating continuously to accurately show the up-to-the-minute areas of daylight and nighttime.
You can see at a glance not just the time of day anywhere in the world, but also if the sun is still up at their location and if they are experiencing long days of sunlight in the summer or more darkness in their winter, for example.
All City Time Differences Accounted For
Users can choose among the world's top 1000 cities to list up to 8 in their homescreen widget (Android) or notifications bar widget (iOS) to quickly view anytime.
All cities are automatically corrected for their individual local daylight savings time observances and local variances, so you can always be sure of the exact time anywhere worldwide. This is a huge and complicated implementation, as many cities within countries and time zones have differing protocols on if and when they convert to daylight savings time, and some places are even offset by 1/2 an hour from global standards.

The app is especially handy for business phone calls across time zones, scheduling meetings, knowing the current time at your transfer and destination cities when flying internationally, keeping in touch with family back home or abroad and much more.
We've built and launched the app as we were trying out many map features and GPS time sync tech while building Turtler and found it very useful for ourselves, as all other similar apps are super buggy or have nefarious malware and intentions. Our app is a free and simple utility requiring no special permissions, has no adverts, tracking or the like.
